CFO Gaurav Kumar Steps Down As Whole-Time Director Of Apollo Tyres
Gaurav Kumar has resigned as a Whole-Time Director of Apollo Tyres Limited to pursue new personal and professional challenges outside the organisation, effective August 6, 2026. He will continue as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for such a period as may be necessary to ensure a smooth transition.
Earlier, as Group Head of Corporate Strategy & Finance, Kumar focused on strategic partnerships and business transformation. He began his career as a Management Trainee with UB Group in 1993 and has held roles across manufacturing, acquisitions and corporate strategy. He joined Apollo Tyres in 2004 as Head of Corporate Strategy and was later inducted into the company’s Management Board in 2010. He holds a mechanical engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and an MBA in finance from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. He is a finance and strategy professional, responsible for financial management, compliance, Corporate Governance, investor relations and strategic growth initiatives. He plays a key role in areas including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), inorganic growth and long-term financing for business projects.
