Tarun Nandwani Transitioned From COO To CEO Role At Newgen Software; Pramod Kumar Redesignated From VP To CGO

Tarun Nandwani, currently designated as the Chief Operating Officer (COO), has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer and Key Managerial Personnel (CEO & KMP) of Newgen Software Technologies Limited for a period of 18 (eighteen) months, with effect from August 1, 2026. He will replace Virender Jeet, who has resigned as CEO & KMP and will step down effective August 31, 2026.

Further, Pramod Kumar, currently designated as Vice President (VP) of Sales with the company’s Singapore subsidiary) has been appointed as the Chief Growth Officer and Key Managerial Personnel (CGO & KMP), with effect from August 1, 2026.

Additionally, the Board has approved the redesignation of T. S. Varadarajan from Whole-Time Director of the company to Vice Chairman of the company with immediate effect. He will continue to serve as the Whole-Time Director.

Tarun Nandwani has been associated with Newgen Software Technologies for 33 years and has played a key role in the company’s growth as a software products business. Before becoming CEO, he served as COO, leading business strategy, operations, customer engagement, and market expansion. He has contributed to the development of business lines including trade finance, lending, liability products, payments, insurance policy administration, and loan management solutions. During his tenure, Newgen expanded its global presence, customer base, and product portfolio. Nandwani holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Delhi and has been part of the company’s leadership throughout its growth journey.

Pramod Kumar has been associated with Newgen Software Technologies for 27 years, holding leadership roles across product management, research and development, strategy, marketing, business development, and regional operations. As CGO, he is responsible for driving business expansion and strategic initiatives. He played a key role in expanding Newgen’s Asia-Pacific business, increasing regional revenue and strengthening the company’s presence in the government sector through customer acquisitions and partnerships. Kumar has also led initiatives in market expansion, ecosystem development, and strategic alliances. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, and an MBA from International Management Institute, New Delhi.

T.S. Varadarajan co-founded Newgen Software Technologies in 1992 and has over 51 years of experience in software design and development. Before establishing Newgen, he founded Softek Pvt. Ltd. and was associated with the company for about 13 years. He has played a key role in building Newgen as an enterprise software products company. Varadarajan holds a bachelor’s degree in science from Bangalore University, a bachelor’s degree in electrical technology from Indian Institute of Science, and a master’s degree in computer science from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras.
