
Sachiv Kumar, Rajesh Sharma & Jagdamba P.G. Dobriyal Retire As Executive Directors Of ONGC
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has reported changes in its management following the retirement of three Executive Directors: Sachiv Kumar, Rajesh Sharma, and Jagdamba Prasad G. Dobriyal, effective July 1, 2026.
A Chemical Engineer by training, Sachiv Kumar joined ONGC in 1989 and built an illustrious career spanning production operations, process commissioning, field development, technology initiatives, operational monitoring, and strategic leadership. He contributed extensively to improving efficiency, asset performance, and operational excellence across upstream oil and gas operations, demonstrating strong technical expertise and managerial capability over several decades of service.
Rajesh Sharma is an Executive Director with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He began his career as Assistant Executive Engineer (Drilling) in Mumbai. Over his professional journey, he has worked across Sivasagar, Ankleshwar, Ahmedabad, Agartala, IRS, and Mumbai. He brings 35 years of experience in drilling and field operations within the organisation.
Jagdamba Prasad G. Dobriyal is Executive Director at ONGC, with an M.Sc. in Geology from the University of Baroda and an MBA from IGNOU. He started as a Geologist in Dehradun and served across Dehradun, Mumbai, Nazira, Chennai, and Kakinada in India. He has over 35 years of experience in exploration, production, and operational leadership in the oil and gas sector.
