
Board Stewardship Brings Global and Indian Experts Together for July Boardroom Insights Webinar
Board Stewardship is set to host the July 2026 edition of its Monthly Live Webinar Series on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM IST. The session, themed “Boardroom Insights,” will bring together renowned board leaders, governance experts, business executives and sustainability professionals to deliberate on some of the most pressing issues shaping boardrooms today; from Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) priorities and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to behavioural leadership and the evolving role of Independent Directors.
The webinar will commence with a Welcome Address by Vikesh Wallia, Managing Director & Editor, Board Stewardship, who will set the tone for the discussions by highlighting the importance of continuous learning and informed decision-making in today’s rapidly evolving governance landscape.
This will be followed by the Inaugural Keynote Address by Helle Bank Jorgensen, GCB.D, NACD.DC, Global Managing Director, Board Development, Board Intelligence, UK. Drawing upon her extensive international experience in Board leadership and sustainability, she will share perspectives on the changing expectations from Boards and the importance of responsible governance in an increasingly interconnected world.
A key highlight of the webinar will be the book release of ‘The Business of Business Is (Not) Just Business: How Behavioural Tools Can Drive Real Change’, authored by Sutapa Banerjee. The launch will be followed by an engaging fireside chat featuring Sutapa Banerjee, Independent Director on Multiple Boards and Harvard Fellow Behavioural, Insights Advisor, and Bhaskar Sharma, Board Director – Polycab India & HDB Financial Services and Former CEO, RBL Bank India. Their conversation will explore how behavioural science can influence leadership, governance and organisational transformation, while examining the role of behavioural tools in driving meaningful and lasting change across organisations.
The first panel discussion, “ESG – Balancing Profits, People and Planet,” will examine how Boards can integrate sustainability into business strategy while delivering long-term value. The session will feature Captain Tapas Majumdar (Retd), Chairman & Managing Director, Niche99 ESG Ratings; Sonvi A. Khanna, CEO, Socomp Solutions Pvt Ltd; Hargovind Sachdev, Independent Director on multiple Boards; and Pramuch Goel, Head of Corporate Affairs, Syngene International Limited. Together, they will discuss how Boards can balance commercial objectives with environmental stewardship and social responsibility while embedding ESG principles into long-term corporate strategy.
The second panel discussion, “Sustainability and Artificial Intelligence (AI) – Data or Water?” will explore the growing intersection between AI innovation and sustainable development. The discussion will feature Harsha Saxena, Founder and CEO, IICSR Group; Saurabh Singhal, Head – Business Development, Tirkha Consultants & Advisors LLP; and Suhas T.U., Founder & Principal Consultant, Deltastar Consultancy Pvt Ltd., Singapore. The panel will deliberate on how Boards can harness emerging technologies while addressing their environmental and governance implications, ensuring that innovation and sustainability progress together.
The webinar will conclude with an interactive Q&A session on the Independent Directorship Journey, led by Vikesh Wallia, where participants will have the opportunity to seek practical guidance on Board careers, governance responsibilities, and leadership development.
