
Jindal Stainless Appoints Kunjal Mehta As CFO, Tarun Kumar Khulbe Relieved Of Additional Charge
Jindal Stainless has appointed Kunjal Mehta as its Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel (CFO & KMP), effective June 25, 2026. Following his appointment, Tarun Kumar Khulbe will cease to hold the additional responsibility of CFO and will continue as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Whole-Time Director.
Kunjal Mehta is a Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant with more than 25 years of experience in the power, steel, ports, logistics, and technology sectors. Before joining Jindal Stainless, he served as CFO of Adani Energy Solutions Ltd. He has also held leadership positions at Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone, and Essar Steel India. His experience includes corporate finance, treasury, financial planning, governance, risk management, fundraising, investor relations, and finance transformation.
Tarun Kumar Khulbe was appointed CEO in January 2024 after serving as Whole-Time Director since 2018, and provides overall leadership while overseeing the company’s strategic direction. With 35 years of industry experience, he joined Jindal Stainless in 2004 as General Manager of the Cold Rolling Mills at Hisar. He later became Head of Stainless Steel Operations in 2012 and was appointed Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2015, leading operational and expansion initiatives. Before joining Jindal Stainless, he began his career with Raymond Steel, later part of ThyssenKrupp. Khulbe holds an engineering degree from MITS, Gwalior, and an MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.
