
Reid Hoffman Set To Step Down From Microsoft Board
Microsoft has announced that Reid Hoffman will not seek re-election to its Board of Directors at the company’s 2026 annual shareholder meeting, ending a tenure that began in 2017.
Hoffman is best known as the Co-Founder of LinkedIn, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2016 for USD 26.2 billion. Since the acquisition, LinkedIn has expanded its global user base to more than 1.3 billion members. Beyond LinkedIn, he has been active in technology investing and artificial intelligence (AI). In 2022, he co-founded Inflection AI alongside Mustafa Suleyman. He has also invested in companies, including Airbnb and autonomous driving technology firm Aurora Innovation, through venture capital firm Greylock Partners.
