
Sanjeev Kumar To Succeed Dr. Manish Mattoo As CFO Of HealthCare Global Enterprises
HealthCare Global Enterprises Limited has appointed Sanjeev Kumar as Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel (CFO & KMP), effective May 25, 2026. He will replace Dr. Manish Mattoo, who has been serving as Interim CFO and will step down from the role on the same date.
The Board also approved the reappointment of Rajiv Maliwal as a Non-Executive Independent Director for a second term of five years, effective May 25, 2026, subject to shareholder approval.
Kumar has held leadership roles at Bharti Airtel and later served as Group CFO at InterGlobe Enterprises and Medanta – The Medicity. At Medanta, he was involved in leading the IPO process of Global Health Ltd. and in implementing financial and strategic initiatives. His experience includes managing finance functions in regulated, capital-intensive, and customer-facing businesses, along with engagement with investors, regulators, and other stakeholders. He is a senior finance leader with over 30 years of experience across telecom, travel and aviation, hospitality, and healthcare sectors. Kumar is a Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary. He holds a degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi. He has also completed a one-year fellowship programme at Harvard University, USA.
Dr. Mattoo previously served as Regional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Apollo Hospitals for Karnataka and Central Region, where he managed multiple hospitals across several cities and a network of over 2,000 beds. He also led a large workforce, including doctors and support staff, while overseeing operations and business performance. Earlier, he worked as Vice-President at Fortis Healthcare, where he handled roles across operations, strategy, supply chain, and internal audit. He has also worked with Medtronic and Monitor Group in healthcare-related assignments. He began his career as a clinician at institutions including PGI Chandigarh and Civil Hospital Ahmedabad. He holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business, along with MBBS and MD degrees in Anaesthesiology from BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad.
Maliwal is the Founder and Managing Partner of Sabre Partners. He has worked on private sector solutions for stressed financial institutions in India, including Centurion Bank and Lord Krishna Bank, and has been involved in structuring equity and financing transactions in the healthcare and fintech sectors. Before founding Sabre Partners in 2002, he worked at Standard Chartered PLC as Global Head of Private Equity, where he managed a fund, built an investment team, and executed investments in financial services and technology. Earlier, he worked with Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong and JP Morgan in Singapore, where he was involved in investment banking, M&A, equity and debt underwriting, and private equity investments. He also worked at Citibank in corporate and investment banking. He holds an MBA from IIM Bangalore and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from BITS Pilani.
