
Six Independent Directors Exit Manappuram Finance
Manappuram Finance has recorded the resignation of six Non-Executive Independent Directors from its Board, with all exits taking effect from May 5, 2026.
\The company said the Board acknowledged the resignations of Abhijit Sen, Pratima Ram, V.P. Seemandini, T.C. Suseel Kumar, Edodiyil Kunhiraman Bharat Bhushan, and Sankaran Nair Rajagopal.
Sen is a finance and banking professional with experience across financial services, governance, and advisory roles. He serves on the Boards of Kalyani Forge, Trent, UGRO Capital, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, and Cashpor Micro Credit. He also chairs audit committees at several companies. Earlier, he served on the Board of National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) and held advisory roles with General Atlantic. Sen retired in 2015 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Citibank India after nearly two decades with the organisation. Following his retirement, he became an external advisor to a Big Four consulting firm for its banking and financial services practice.
Ram is a banking professional and Corporate Director with more than three decades of experience in credit, investment banking, and international finance. During her career, she held leadership positions at State Bank of India (SBI), including roles as Country Head and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for operations in the United States and South Africa. She also served as CEO of IIFL Finance. Ram was associated with Manappuram Home Finance and participated in audit and risk management committees. She has also served as an independent director at Minda Corporation and Cadila Pharmaceuticals. She studied at the University of Virginia and Bangalore University.
