
CFO Rajeev Gupta Appointed As Executive Director Of L&T Tech; Amitabh Kant Appointed As Independent Director
Rajeev Gupta, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), has been appointed as an Executive Director (Additional Director) of L&T Technology Services Limited, commencing from April 22, 2026, subject to the approval of the shareholders.
Meanwhile, Amitabh Kant has been appointed as an Independent Director (Additional Director), commencing from April 22, 2026, subject to the approval of the shareholders.
Additionally, Alind Saxena has been reappointed as an Executive Director and President of Strategic Initiatives and Growth Markets, commencing from April 26, 2026, subject to approval of the shareholders.
Gupta oversees financial planning, capital allocation, and performance management, and works on growth and governance processes. He has over 29 years of experience in finance, including roles at Birlasoft, Jardine Lloyd Thompson, Amazon, Capgemini, and PwC. He has received industry recognitions from the Confederation of Indian Industry and The Economic Times. His work includes mergers and acquisitions (M&A), restructuring, and transformation initiatives across regions, including the United States, Asia Pacific, and India. He has studied at INSEAD, Columbia Business School, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics.
Kant is a member of the Indian Administrative Service (1980 batch) and has held senior roles in the Government of India. He served as India’s G20 Sherpa to the Prime Minister during the country’s presidency of the G20 in 2022–23, where he was involved in negotiations leading to the New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration. He has served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the NITI Aayog and has held positions such as Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade and CEO of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation. He also served as Secretary, Tourism, Government of Kerala. Kant has been associated with initiatives including Startup India, Make in India, and the Aspirational Districts Programme. He has also contributed to global forums such as the World Economic Forum and the International Transport Forum. He has authored and edited books on economic development and governance.
Saxena oversees client engagement, deal development, and project execution across global markets. His role includes expanding business opportunities and supporting technology-led solutions across sectors. He joined the company in 2010 as Chief Business Officer (CBO) and has contributed to its growth in engineering and technology services for global clients. He has led expansion into multiple regions and works on large project engagements. With around 30 years of experience, he has worked across Asia, Europe, and North America in sectors including automotive, aerospace, oil and gas, telecom, and medical devices. He is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and has completed executive education at INSEAD, Harvard Business School, and London Business School.
