Berjis Desai Steps Down As Independent Director Of Apollo Tyres

Berjis Desai has resigned as an Independent Director of Apollo Tyres Limited, with effect from April 7, 2026, consequent to his appointment as Member of the National Commission for Minorities, Government of India, New Delhi.

Desai was Managing Partner at J. Sagar Associates from 2003 and later Senior Partner until his retirement in 2017. He serves on the Boards of several companies, including Man Infraconstruction, The Great Eastern Shipping Company, and Emcure Pharmaceuticals. He also works as an independent counsel, focusing on succession and estate planning for promoter families and high-net-worth individuals, including wills, trusts, and family arrangements. His practice also covers mediation, arbitration, insolvency advisory, and family business structuring. He is a legal professional with over four decades of experience in transactional and dispute resolution law.
