Alphabet Executive Amie Thuener To Succeed Kirsten Spears As CFO Of Broadcom

Broadcom has appointed Amie Thuener as its next Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective June 12, 2026, replacing Kirsten Spears, who will retire. Spears will remain with the company in an advisory role for nine months to support the transition.

Thuener currently serves at Alphabet as Vice President (VP), Corporate Controller, and Chief Accounting Officer (CAO). She is also an Independent Director at Nordstrom and contributes to industry groups such as the Financial Executives International. Earlier, she served on the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council (FASAC). Before joining Alphabet, she spent over a decade at PricewaterhouseCoopers in transaction and audit roles. She also worked at the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Thuener holds a degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is a certified public accountant.

Spears serves as CFO and CAO at Broadcom, where she oversees financial operations, reporting, and accounting functions. She previously held the role of VP and Corporate Controller at Broadcom from 2014 to 2020. Before joining Broadcom, she worked at LSI, where she held multiple roles in accounting and reporting and became Corporate Controller in 2007. Her earlier experience includes positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers in audit, Raychem in accounting functions, and Bank of America in branch operations. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Santa Clara University.
