Venkatesh Tiwari Appointed As COO Of Indus Towers; Tejinder Kalra To Retire

Venkatesh Tiwari has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Management Personnel (COO & SMP) of Indus Towers Limited, w.e.f. April 1, 2026.

Further, Tejinder Kalra will continue in his capacity as COO up to June 30, 2026. With effect from July 1, 2026, he shall cease to be an SMP of the company and shall continue with the company thereafter until his retirement to facilitate a structured transition process.

Tiwari has nearly three decades of experience across e-commerce, telecommunications, consumer electronics, and logistics. Earlier, he worked with Samsung, Bharti Airtel, and Perfetti Van Melle, handling roles in operations, sales, and customer management. He is associated with Amazon, where he has handled roles across seller fulfilment, third-party logistics, and quick commerce operations in India. He has worked on initiatives including quick commerce launch, same-day delivery, grocery operations, and expansion of logistics networks across pin codes. He has also managed middle-mile and last-mile operations within Amazon India. Tiwari holds a B.Tech from Birla Institute of Technology Mesra and an MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.

Kalra has been associated with Nokia for over a decade, serving as Global Business Head for Bharti Airtel from September 2010 to June 2016, based in Gurgaon and Nairobi. In this role, he led business strategy, acquisition, service delivery, and end-to-end P&L operations. Earlier, he worked as Account Director, handling key accounts including Tata Tele Services. He also completed a graduate diploma in executive coaching from Royal Roads University. He has more than 32 years of experience in the telecom and services sector, with a track record in building teams and expanding business across India and international markets.
