Apurva Chandra & Ramesh Ramadurai Join Centum Electronics As Independent Directors

Apurva Chandra and Ramesh Ramadurai have been appointed as Independent Directors of Centum Electronics Limited, effective December 19, 2025, and February 14, 2026, respectively. The appointments were approved on March 16, 2026.

Chandra is a former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1988 Maharashtra cadre with over 36 years of experience in public administration and policy. He retired from service in September 2024. During his career, he served as Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India. He also held roles including Director General (Acquisition) in the Ministry of Defence and Principal Secretary (Industries) in the Government of Maharashtra. Chandra has served on the boards of GAIL (India) Ltd., Petronet LNG Ltd., and MIDC, and is currently associated with CEAT and Sudarshan Chemical Industries Ltd. He is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and the London School of Economics.

Ramadurai is the Managing Director (MD) of 3M India and has over 30 years of experience with 3M Company. He has served as Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry Karnataka State Council and has been part of the US-India Business Council. Before joining 3M, he worked in offshore oil production and in the automotive components and two-wheeler sector in India. He holds a degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. Ramadurai has worked across regions, including the United States, the Philippines, and China, where he handled industrial business operations across the Asia Pacific.
