Board Stewardship Huddle In Delhi To Spotlight Women’s Role In Strengthening Boardroom Governance

Board Stewardship will host the Delhi edition of its signature event, the Board Stewardship Huddle, as a Women’s Day Special on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Magnolia Hall, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, bringing together board members, Independent Directors, governance professionals and business leaders for conversations around evolving boardroom stewardship.

The evening, scheduled from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, will revolve around the theme “Stewardship in Boardrooms,” focusing on the changing role of directors and the growing influence of women in shaping governance frameworks and accountability structures. The event will feature a series of keynote addresses, spotlight sessions and panel discussions examining leadership pathways, boardroom effectiveness and responsible oversight.

The Huddle will begin with a welcome address by Vikesh Wallia, Managing Director and Editor, Board Stewardship, followed by the inaugural keynote by Arun Karna, MD & CEO, AT&T Global Network Services India Pvt. Ltd. & SVP of India & ASEAN, AT&T Business International.

A key highlight of the programme will be a panel discussion from 5:45 PM to 6:30 PM titled “From Seat at the Table to Shaping the Table: Women Directors Redefining Governance & NRC Accountability,” moderated by Pankaj Raj, Co-founder and Director of Search Value, an executive search firm. The session will explore how Women Directors are increasingly influencing boardroom deliberations, particularly in committees that shape corporate oversight and leadership succession.

Commenting ahead of the event, Pankaj Raj said, “For many years the conversation around women on Boards was largely about representation, ensuring women had a seat at the table. That was an important first step. The more interesting shift now is inside the boardroom itself, whether Boards are asking sharper questions and exercising stronger oversight. Increasingly, Women Directors are chairing or playing key roles in committees such as the Audit Committee and the Nomination & Remuneration Committee. In many ways, this is where the real work of governance happens, around risk, transparency, leadership succession and incentives. So the conversation today is less about diversity as a number, and more about the quality of boardroom dialogue and accountability. That, ultimately, is what strengthens governance.”

Other sessions include a keynote by Nina Chatrath, Independent Director on multiple Boards, Partner at DHR Global, Leadership & Business Consultant and Trustee of Vision Spring Foundation, on “Right to Lead: Reimagining Board Pathways for Women.” The programme will also feature perspectives from Arpita Pal Agrawal, Board Chair and Independent Director; Radhika Vohra, Associate Managing Director of Investigations, Diligence & Compliance Practice at Kroll; and Shan Jain, Independent Director on multiple boards and Founder & CEO, Bridge to Ocean 29.

In addition, the Huddle will host spotlight discussions on governance leadership, personal branding and board stewardship featuring speakers such as Sri Ram Kumar C, Head of Marketing Alliances & HR, FinAlyzer; Rahul Kansal, Independent Director, Executive Coach & Brand Consultant; and Punita Kumar Sinha, Independent Director on multiple Boards.

The event is supported by BoardPAC as Knowledge Partner, Search Value as Corporate Partner, and FinAlyzer as Principal Partner. The formal sessions will conclude with a felicitation ceremony and vote of thanks, followed by networking over cocktails and dinner.
