NITI Aayog CEO Charge Handed To Nidhi Chhibber As BVR Subrahmanyam Concludes His Tenure

Nidhi Chhibber has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NITI Aayog following the completion of BVR Subrahmanyam’s tenure.

Chhibber is the Director General of the Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office. She is a 1994-batch IAS officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre and previously served as Chairperson of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). At NITI Aayog’s Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office, she has overseen monitoring and evaluation of government schemes. She holds a master’s degree in history and a bachelor’s degree in law.

Subrahmanyam is a 1987-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre. He has served as Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, and Principal Secretary in the Government of Chhattisgarh. He has also worked in the Prime Minister’s Office, handling policy and administrative matters at the central level. Over three decades, he has held key assignments across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Jammu and Kashmir, along with a stint at the World Bank.
