Essa Kazim Appointed As Chairman Of DP World, Yuvraj Narayan As Group CEO

The Board of DP World has appointed Essa Kazim as Chairman and Yuvraj Narayan as Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Kazim and Narayan will replace Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, who has resigned as Group Chairman and CEO with immediate effect.

The change follows references to Sulayem in documents linked to Jeffrey Epstein. The company did not indicate wrongdoing.

Essa Kazim serves as Governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre and Chairman of Bourse Dubai. He has held roles in national financial institutions and has experience in financial and economic administration. Narayan, a Chartered Accountant, joined DP World in 2004 and became Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2005. He most recently served as Group Deputy CEO and CFO. He earlier worked at ANZ Group and Salalah Port Services in Oman and serves on the Boards of HDFC International Life and Re Company Ltd., and Dubai Financial Market.
