Mihir Prakash Bajoria To Succeed James Leacock McIntosh As MD Of IFGL Refractories

Mihir Prakash Bajoria, Non-Executive Non-Independent Director, has been appointed as Managing Director (MD) of IFGL Refractories Limited, effective March 1, 2026, subject to approval of the shareholders.

He will succeed James Leacock McIntosh, who will cease to be MD of the company effective February 28, 2026.

Bajoria served on the Board of Monocon International Refractories Ltd., the UK subsidiary of IFGL Group, from February 2010 to August 2025. He began as Director and was appointed Chairman in 2015, a role he held until August 31, 2025. He knows the refractory industry and its operations. He has led global operations within the IFGL Group and has worked on international business matters. His experience includes strategic decision-making, operational oversight, and team leadership across markets. Bajoria holds a diploma in international relations, politics, and economics from Oxford Brookes University and completed the International Baccalaureate at Sevenoaks School.

McIntosh has served as MD of the company since September 2021. Before this role, he was President of the company’s wholly owned US subsidiary, EI Ceramics LLC, except for a sabbatical between September 2014 and September 2015. He holds a master’s degree in science (marketing) from the University of Glasgow, a postgraduate diploma from the University of Paisley, and a higher national certificate in mechanical and process engineering from Clydebank Technical College, Scotland.
