
Amish Mehta Reappointed As CEO & MD Of CRISIL; Amar Raj Bindra Reappointed As Independent Director
Amish Mehta has been reappointed as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director (CEO & MD) of CRISIL Limited, with effect from October 1, 2026, subject to approval of the shareholders.
Further, Amar Raj Bindra has been reappointed as an Independent Director with effect from December 1, 2026, subject to approval of the shareholders.
Before joining CRISIL, Mehta was Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Indus Towers. He has over two decades of experience across telecommunications, oil and gas, FMCG, and advisory services, and has held roles at BP Castrol India, Ernst & Young, and ExxonMobil India. He joined CRISIL in October 2014 as President and CFO and was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2017, where he led acquisitions and business initiatives. He leads the company’s work in analytics, research, solutions, and opinions for corporates, investors, financial institutions, policy makers, and governments in India and other markets. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.
Bindra retired from ANZ Banking Group International as Head of Credit and Capital Management – International, overseeing a portfolio across 18 markets, including work on ESG-linked loans, bonds, and risk management digitisation. He is an Independent Non-Executive Director on the Boards of international and Indian organisations. Earlier, he served as Group Head of Institutional Credit – Asia at Citigroup, managing portfolios across Asia, Japan, and Australia. He joined Citigroup in 1979 and held roles across divisions. Bindra completed the Advanced Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania and holds degrees from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and Sydenham College.
