Board Stewardship to Host February Edition of Monthly Live Webinar Series on Boardroom Insights
Board Stewardship will host the February 2026 edition of its Monthly Live Webinar Series on Boardroom Insights on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with the session opening at 3:45 PM. The virtual event will bring together experienced board members, governance professionals and capital market experts for an in-depth discussion on contemporary boardroom challenges emerging from a rapidly evolving regulatory, ownership and stakeholder environment.
The webinar will commence with a welcome address by Vikesh Wallia, Managing Director & Editor, Board Stewardship, who will set the tone for the discussions and outline the key governance issues confronting Boards in the current business climate. This will be followed by a keynote address by Burzin Dubash, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer (COO & CFO), Ankur Capital, and Former President, IIA India. Drawing on his extensive experience across governance and assurance roles, Dubash will provide context on evolving Board expectations, regulatory oversight and the increasing scrutiny on Board conduct and decision-making.
A key highlight of the session will be the panel discussion titled “The RPT Dilemma: Navigating Promoter Influence & Board Oversight.” The discussion will examine the complexities surrounding related party transactions and the challenges Boards face in exercising independent judgement while managing promoter-driven dynamics. The panel will feature Raajeev Batra, CA and Independent Director, Former Partner, KPMG India/Gulf; Rashmi Joshi, Independent Director, Coach & Mentor; Sri Ram Kumar C, Head – Marketing, Alliances & HR, FinAlyzer; and Sanjiv Chaudhary, Former IESBA Board Member, Independent Director and Practising CA. Together, they will explore practical approaches to strengthening oversight, transparency and governance discipline.
As Corporate Governance standards continue to tighten and Boards face heightened scrutiny from regulators, investors and other stakeholders, the role of Directors, particularly Independent Directors, has become more complex and demanding. Against this backdrop, the upcoming edition of the webinar will focus on two critical themes shaping board effectiveness today: managing promoter influence through robust oversight mechanisms and understanding the changing responsibilities of Boards as companies transition from private ownership to public listing. Through expert-led discussions and practitioner perspectives, the session aims to offer actionable insights on balancing control, independence and accountability at the board level.
