
David Guggina Appointed As CEO Of Walmart U.S.
Walmart Inc. has appointed David Guggina as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Walmart U.S., following a broader executive reshuffle triggered by John Furner’s move to President and CEO of Walmart Inc. on February 1, 2026.
Guggina will lead Walmart’s U.S. operations, overseeing the company’s retail and online businesses across the country.
Guggina is currently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief eCommerce Officer for Walmart U.S., leading the growth and transformation of Walmart’s online business and marketplace. He has overseen the expansion of delivery capabilities, reaching nearly 95% of U.S. households in under three hours, and driven the integration of data and AI to personalise customer experiences and improve fulfilment speed and reliability. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President of Supply Chain Operations, managing distribution and fulfilment centres and implementing automation to enhance efficiency. Before joining Walmart in 2018, Guggina spent over a decade at Amazon and in manufacturing, holding leadership roles across fulfilment and operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Management from Purdue University.
