Akhil Gupta To Retire As Vice Chairman Of Bharti Enterprises

Akhil Gupta, Vice Chairman of Bharti Enterprises, is set to retire effective March 31, 2026, concluding over 30 years with the group.

Gupta led partnerships with global operators like British Telecom, Telecom Italia, Singapore Telecom, and Vodafone, and brought in investors including Warburg Pincus, Temasek, KKR, and Sequoia. He serves on Boards including Bharti AXA Life Insurance, Eutelsat Communications, 360 ONE WAM Ltd., Zepto, and Snapdeal. He spearheaded transformational initiatives such as outsourcing IT and network management, and co-created Indus Towers, one of the world’s largest tower companies. He has been instrumental in the company’s growth through organic expansion and acquisitions. A Chartered Accountant and Harvard Business School alumnus, Gupta has over 40 years of experience and has received multiple national and international awards.
