Pankaj Jain Concludes His Tenure As Chairman & Director Of Petronet LNG
Pankaj Jain has retired as Chairman and Director of Petronet LNG Limited, effective January 1, 2026, upon his superannuation.
Jain served as Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. An Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, he has experience in governance and policy design and implementation across central and state governments. He has served as Chairman or Director on the Boards, including Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves, PNB, Canara Bank, IDBI Bank, LIC, IFSCA, and National Housing Bank. His work has covered oil and natural gas, financial services, industry, power, information technology, livelihoods, and MSME promotion. Jain holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce, an MBA from FMS Delhi, and is a qualified cost accountant from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
