Muker Jeet Sharma Retires As Independent Director Of Petronet LNG
Muker Jeet Sharma, Independent Director of Petronet LNG Limited, has retired upon completion of his tenure w.e.f. November 24, 2025.
Sharma is a retired Indian Forest Service officer of the 1985 batch. He served in the State Forest Service from 1978 to 1985 and in the Indian Forest Service from 1985 until 2014, retiring as Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests. He led initiatives in forest conservation and community forestry in Jammu & Kashmir and was recognised with the Indira Priyadarshini Vriksha Mitra Award. He is also the Founder and President of the J&K Amateur Fencing Association. He has over 41 years of experience in administration, soil and water conservation, climate change, pollution control, ecology, environment protection, business strategy, consultancy, and project management. Sharma holds a science degree from Jammu, an M.Sc. in Geography from Punjab University, Chandigarh, and an M.Sc. in Forestry from F.R.I., Dehradun.
