Dr. Ram Charan and Ravi Kant To Lead Signature Fireside Chat At BSE Summit
Mumbai is set to witness one of the most significant gatherings of governance leaders, business icons, and boardroom visionaries this December, as Board Stewardship presents the Global Corporate Governance Summit 2025, scheduled for 2nd and 3rd December, 2025, at the iconic Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). With BSE as the venue partner, this event marks a milestone for India—providing a first-of-its-kind platform for Independent Directors and Corporate Governance practitioners to engage directly with global experts.
A powerful centrepiece of the Summit will be the Fireside Chat featuring Dr. Ram Charan and Ravi Kant, two of the most respected global leadership voices. This signature conversation will explore high-stakes decision-making, boardroom transformation, CEO–Board dynamics, and leadership during disruption—offering participants an unfiltered look into how top organisations navigate complexity.
Dr. Ram Charan, globally renowned advisor to CEOs and corporate boards, brings decades of experience guiding Fortune 500 companies, shaping governance practices, and influencing leadership thinking. With over 30 books and millions of copies sold, including the bestseller Execution, he has worked closely with global giants such as Toyota, Bank of America, ICICI Bank, Aditya Birla Group, and Uniqlo.
Ravi Kant, Former Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Tata Motors, is celebrated for leading the company through its most transformative phase—including the landmark acquisition of Jaguar Land Rover—and scaling it from $1.5 billion to $39 billion in 15 years. His career spans leadership roles at Philips India, LML Vespa, Titan, Hawkins, and Hindalco, as well as academic and advisory positions across India and overseas.
The dialogue will take place in the context of Ravi Kant’s book ‘Leading from the Back to Achieve the Impossible’, co-authored with Harry Paul and Ross Reck.
The proceedings will open with the Welcome Address by Vikesh Wallia, Managing Director and Editor of Board Stewardship, setting the tone for two days of high-impact dialogue. Wallia stated, “This Summit marks the second edition of the Board Stewardship India Boards Conference. Our journey began with a simple question: how do board directors start their day, and where do they get insights tailored specifically for them? With invaluable guidance from Shailesh Haribhakti, we set out to create a dedicated platform for board intelligence. This year’s theme, ‘Crafting the Future of the Board,’ brings together exceptional minds to explore ideas that will shape governance for years to come. We look forward to two days of meaningful, high-impact conversations.”
This will be followed by the Inaugural Address from Shailesh Haribhakti, eminent Chartered Accountant, Board Icon, and Chairman of the Advisory Board at Board Stewardship. Haribhakti noted, “This event is designed as a seamless, elevated board-level learning experience—where insight meets reflection, and reflection leads to shared stewardship. Each session will build upon the last, weaving strategic foresight, governance excellence, and values-driven decision-making into one coherent journey. We will deepen our understanding of emerging opportunities, examine risks with clarity and candour, and celebrate the power of collaborative leadership. The dialogues, case reflections, and forward-looking perspectives will not only inform but inspire—enabling us to return to our boardrooms more purposeful, more aligned, and more prepared to guide our organisations through complexity with wisdom, courage, and integrity.”
The Global Corporate Governance Summit 2025 will also feature distinguished leaders including; Rajeev Peshawaria, CEO of Stewardship Asia Centre; Helle Bank Jørgensen, CEO & Founder of Competent Boards; Manish Varghese, Managing Director at Deininger; Amit Narayan, Partner at Control Risks; Pankaj Raj, Co-founder & Director of Search Value; Raajeev B. Batra, Fellow at Board Stewardship; and Kamala Kantharaj, Chief Regulatory Officer at BSE. Together, they will offer deep insights into governance excellence, sustainability leadership, risk and crisis management, regulatory perspectives, and the evolving responsibilities of Independent Directors.
The Summit is powered by partnerships with BoardPAC, Climate Governance Initiative, and WorldAtWork, Nasdaq—organisations dedicated to strengthening responsible leadership, technological governance, and sustainable business practices.
