Srinivasan Varadarajan Retires As Non-Executive Chairman & Part-Time Non-Official Director Of Union Bank Of India

Srinivasan Varadarajan, Non-Executive Chairman and Part-Time Non-Official Director of Union Bank of India, has retired w.e.f. November 7, 2025.

Previously, Varadarajan was Managing Director (MD) & Head of Markets at J.P. Morgan India and CEO of J.P. Morgan Chase Bank in India. He last served as Deputy MD at Axis Bank before establishing his own advisory practice in 2019. He has served on several RBI committees and was chairman of FIMMDA and PDAI, as well as a member of the Indo-UK Financial Partnership Forum. Over his career, he has worked with a leading international consulting firm, a sovereign wealth fund, large corporate and NBFC groups, and a private sector bank. He has over 30 years of experience in banking and financial services. Varadarajan is an engineering graduate from Anna University and a postgraduate diploma holder in management from IIM Calcutta.
