Subodh Nadkarni Reappointed As Independent Director Of Goa Carbon; Nitin Gaikwad Appointed As Goa Plant Head & Factory Manager
Subodh Nadkarni has been reappointed as an Independent Director of Goa Carbon Limited, with effect from January 7, 2026, subject to approval of the shareholders through the postal ballot process.
Nitin Gaikwad, Deputy General Manager (Operations), has been appointed as Goa Plant Head, Factory Manager (Goa Plant), and Senior Management Personnel (SMP) of the company, effective October 29, 2025.
Nadkarni has held the position of Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director (CEO & MD) at Sulzer India and previously served as Financial Controller at the Godrej Group for nine years. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grindwell Norton Ltd., bringing extensive global expertise in finance, governance, and industrial operations. He has over 40 years of industrial experience across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Nadkarni holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce (Honours) from the University of Mumbai and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). He is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s General Management Programme.
Gaikwad has extensive experience in plant operations, safety management, project execution, and power plant maintenance. He has worked with Vedanta Ltd. as Head of Operations and Maintenance at its power plant and has also been associated with Wärtsilä India Ltd., Malu Papers Ltd., and Madhyadesh Papers Ltd. His professional expertise covers plant management, contract management, instrumentation and controls, and project management, including design, erection, and commissioning activities in the industrial and power sectors. Gaikwad holds a bachelor’s degree in instrumentation engineering from the Government College of Engineering, Chandrapur (Nagpur University), and a postgraduate diploma in management from the Goa Institute of Management.
