
Yum Brands Appoints Ranjith Roy As CFO, Chris Turner To Become CEO
Yum Brands, the parent company of KFC, has appointed Ranjith Roy as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Roy replaces Chris Turner, who will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer effective October 1, 2025, succeeding David Gibbs.
Roy joined Yum Brands in 2024 as chief strategy officer and treasurer after serving as CFO of Goldbelly and working more than 15 years with Goldman Sachs. Previously, he held positions like Managing Director (MD) of Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs, Equity Research Analyst at RiskMetrics Group Inc., and Associate Consultant at Oracle Financial Services. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a postgraduate diploma in business administration from IIM-Ahmedabad.
Turner joined Yum! from PepsiCo, where he held senior leadership roles, including heading its Walmart U.S. and international retail and e-commerce businesses. He previously led strategy and transformation at Frito-Lay and spent over 13 years at McKinsey & Company as a Partner. He holds an MBA from Stanford University and a bachelor’s in industrial engineering from the University of Arkansas.
