
François Provost Appointed As CEO Of Renault
Renault has appointed François Provost, its Chief Procurement Officer, as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), following the sudden resignation of Luca de Meo last month.
Provost previously led Renault’s transformation plan in 2022 and has held roles in public affairs and international development. In 2002, he joined Renault, progressing through key roles including General Manager in Sales & Marketing, Managing Director of Renault-Nissan Portugal, and COO of Renault Russia. He was CEO of Renault Samsung Motors (2011), then led China operations as CEO of DRAC and later Chairman of Asia-Pacific region. He has served on Boards including DRAC, e-GT NEV, RBJAC, and ATCC, and is part of the Groupe Renault Management Committee. He began his career as a senior civil servant at the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, later serving as Adviser to the Minister of Defence. Provost is a graduate of École Polytechnique and École des Mines de Paris.
