Comcast appointed the Board for Versant Media Group, a new entity that will take over several NBCUniversal cable networks, including CNBC, MSNBC, and USA Network.
The Board will include Versant Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mark Lazarus, Chairman David Novak, and eight other members with experience in artificial intelligence (AI), Corporate Governance, and business strategy. Once the spinoff is completed later this year, Rebecca Campbell, Creighton Condon, Michael Conway, and David Eun are expected to join the Board. Other confirmed members are Gerald Hassell, Scott Mahoney, Maritza Montiel, and Len Potter. Versant will also oversee brands such as SYFY, E!, and Golf Channel, as well as digital platforms like Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes. Comcast stated that Versant’s assets generate approximately USD 7 billion in annual revenue.
