Michael G. Whitaker Appointed As Independent Director Of InterGlobe Aviation

Michael G. Whitaker has been appointed as Independent Director (Additional Director) of InterGlobe Aviation Limited, effective from the date of receipt of security clearance from the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), subject to approval of the shareholders.

Whitaker began his aviation career as an attorney for TWA in New York and Washington, later spending 15 years at United Airlines in Chicago, where he served as Senior Vice President of Alliances, International, and Regulatory Affairs. He then became Group CEO of InterGlobe, India’s largest travel conglomerate. In 2013, he was appointed Deputy Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) by President Obama, a role he held until 2016. He holds degrees from the University of Louisville and Georgetown University.
