Mehmet Ali Aydinlar Steps Down As Non-Independent Director Of Fortis Healthcare; Shailaja Chandra Retires

Mehmet Ali Aydinlar has resigned from the position of Non-Executive Non-Independent Director of Fortis Healthcare Limited w.e.f. June 27, 2025.

Further, Shailaja Chandra will cease to be a Non-Executive Independent Director of the company w.e.f. June 27, 2025, consequent to the end of her term.

Aydinlar has served on the Board of IHH Healthcare Berhad since January 2012 and is currently a Non-Executive Director. He is also the Chairman of Acibadem Saglik Yatirimlari Holding A.S. (ASYH), a 90%-owned subsidiary of IHH, and continues to lead the Acibadem group of companies following his tenure as founding CEO of ASYH. He chairs the Turkish Accredited Hospitals Association and serves as Vice Chairman of OHSAD. He is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Acibadem University, a healthcare education initiative. Aydinlar holds a degree in business administration from Galatasaray Economy and Management College.

Chandra is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer who has held several senior positions in the Government of India and Delhi. She served as Secretary in the Ministry of Health and as Chief Secretary of Delhi, the only woman to hold that role. Her career spans policy and governance roles across defence, power, and health ministries and in the administrations of Delhi, Manipur, Goa, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Post-retirement, she led the National Population Stabilisation Fund and held key roles in public bodies and NGOs. She has been an Independent Director on multiple company Boards since 2012. Chandra holds fellowships from Nantes IAS and Shiv Nadar University and an honorary doctorate from Trans Disciplinary University, Bengaluru.
