Omead Afshar, a top Tesla Executive and close associate of Elon Musk, has departed the company, three sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.

Afshar had overseen sales and manufacturing across Europe and North America since 2023 and was part of Musk’s core leadership team. His exit comes amid declining demand for Tesla vehicles and a wider company restructuring. The circumstances of his departure remain undisclosed. Afshar’s social media profiles continued to list him as a Tesla employee as of midweek. Two sources also confirmed the departure of North America HR Director Jenna Ferrua, who worked closely with Afshar. The exits follow a broader series of leadership changes at Tesla over the past 14 months, linked to shifting priorities in automation and job reductions.
