Airbnb’s CFO Ellie Mertz Appointed As Board Member At Netflix

Netflix has appointed Ellie Mertz, Chief Financial Officer of Airbnb, to its Board of Directors, effective June 22, 2025. Her appointment will continue until the 2026 annual meeting of stockholders or until an earlier resignation or removal, as per a regulatory filing.

Mertz previously spent seven years at Netflix in various finance roles, including as Vice President (VP) of Finance, before joining Airbnb, where she has worked for the past 12 years. She became Airbnb’s CFO in March 2024. In addition to her role at Airbnb, she currently serves on the Boards of DoorDash, Inc., and Faire. Mertz holds a B.A. in Science, Technology & Society and an M.A. in History from Stanford University. She also earned an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University.
