
IndusInd Bank Elevates Santosh Kumar As Deputy CFO; Arun Khurana Retires As Deputy CEO
IndusInd Bank has named Santosh Kumar as Deputy Chief Financial Officer, effective April 18, 2025. Kumar will oversee the bank’s finance and accounts functions until a full-time CFO is appointed. This move follows the end of Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Arun Khurana’s term as finance head.
Before this, Santosh Kumar was serving as Chief Accountant at IndusInd Bank. He has over 17 years of experience in the field of finance, accounting, and internal audit. Kumar also served as Head WBG Planning at ICICI Bank from May 2012 to April 2024. He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). IndusInd Bank has been dealing with financial issues, including elevated bad loans in its microfinance segment and a decline in profits over two quarters. It also disclosed an accounting discrepancy related to currency derivatives, with PwC estimating a potential loss of Rs 1,979 crore. IndusInd has also appointed Grant Thornton Bharat to conduct a forensic audit, as directed by the Reserve Bank of India.
