
Intel Appoints Lip-Bu Tan As CEO
Intel has named Lip-Bu Tan as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), replacing interim co-CEOs David Zinsner and MJ Holthaus.
Tan has extensive experience in the semiconductor and technology sectors, serving as a Board member at Cadence for 19 years, including as Executive Chairman (2021-2023) and CEO. He is the Founding Managing Partner of Walden Catalyst Ventures and Chairman of Walden International. Tan also serves on the Boards of Credo Technology Group and Schneider Electric. He holds degrees in physics, nuclear engineering, and an MBA. In 2022, he received the Robert N. Noyce Award, the Semiconductor Industry Association’s highest honour, recognising his contributions to the industry.
