Ravinder Singh Dhillon Resigns As Independent Director Of GE Power India

Ravinder Singh Dhillon has resigned from his position as an Independent Director of GE Power India Limited, effective February 17, 2025, following his appointment and oath-taking as a member (finance) of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission on the same date.

Dhillon has extensive experience in the power and infrastructure sectors, with a career spanning 39 years. He served as the head of the first Maharatna CPSE in the financial space and the largest NBFC in India. His experience includes 30 years at Power Finance Corporate Limited (PFC), over six years at the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), and nearly three years at BHEL. He has worked in project financing, covering business development, credit appraisal, fund disbursal, loan monitoring, and NPA resolution. Dhillon holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, and a master’s degree in technology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.
