Vikas R. Kakatkar, Arun Daga, And Siva Makutam Retire As Independent Directors Of BEML

Vikas Ramkrishna Kakatkar, Arun Daga, and Makutam Mrutyunjaya Siva Kumar Lingam have retired from the position of Independent Director of BEML Limited with effect from December 23, 2024.

Kakatkar began his career as a Marketing Officer at Kirloskar Consultants Pvt. Ltd. and Statfield Systems (Coating) Pvt. Ltd. from 1979 to 1981. Since 1982, he has been involved in the construction business in Pune, focusing on residential and commercial buildings. He serves as a Management Consultant with Perfect Machine Tools Ltd., and its group companies. Kakatkar is also a Founder and Director of Jai Hospitals Pvt. Ltd., Nashik, and has worked with various banking, educational, and social institutions. He is a member of the Deccan Education Society and has played a key role in establishing new institutions. Kakatkar has been the President of the Maharashtra Cricket Association since 2019.

Daga is a fellow member of ICAI and has over 27 years of experience in taxation, financial reporting, and accounting. He served as Chairman of the Gwalior Branch of ICAI in 2003-2004 and is an auditor for various banks and public companies. He is also a speaker, writer, and nominee Director on the Board of NHDC Ltd., Bhopal. Daga holds a Master of Commerce, diplomas in DISA and DIRM (ICAI), and certifications in forensic audit, valuation, and concurrent audit.

Siva Makutam has over 20 years of experience in semiconductor electronics and IT. He currently serves as Senior Director in a chip design MNC and has previously worked as Principal Consultant to the Department of IT, Electronics & Communications, Government of Andhra Pradesh. He focuses on “Make in India” and the adoption of next-generation technologies. Siva Makutam is a BITS Pilani graduate in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
