Minoru Sugisawa Succeeds Hitoshi Mogi As Chairman & Managing Director Of JTEKT India

The Board of Directors of JTEKT India Limited has redesignated the position of Minoru Sugisawa from Whole-Time Director to Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), effective January 1, 2025. He has succeeded Hitoshi Mogi, who will be stepping down from the same position on the same date.

Minoru Sugisawa is a 54-year-old Japanese national. After completing his graduation in 1991 from Kobe Technical College, Japan, he joined JTEKT Corporation (formerly known as Koyo Seiko Co., Ltd., Japan). With six years of experience, he was appointed as Coordinator of the NPD/PC Departments at Koyo Corporation, USA. In 2007, he took on the responsibility of the NPD/PC Departments at JTEKT Corporation, Japan. In 2018, he was promoted to the position of General Manager and given the responsibility of the Personal Administration Office. He is also a member of the Audit Committee, Stakeholders Relationship Committee, and Risk Management Committee of the company. Sugisawa does not hold directorship or committee memberships in any other listed company in India.
