Bhavani Balasubramanian Appointed as Non-Executive Independent Director of HOEC, Succeeding Sharmila H. Amin

Bhavani Balasubramanian has been appointed as a Non-Executive Independent Director on the Board of Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Limited w.e.f. December 17, 2024. The approval of the shareholders for her appointment as an Independent Director shall be taken through a postal ballot in due course.

Balasubramanian has succeeded Sharmila Hiralal Amin, who retired from the same position with effect from December 16, 2024, on account of the completion of her tenure.

Bhavani Balasubramanian has over four decades of experience in auditing, including listed companies and multinationals across various industries in India and abroad. She has been an audit and assurance Partner at Deloitte India and currently serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of public companies, contributing to their committees. She is also a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). Balasubramanian has served on the Auditing Standards Board of ICAI for eight years and other committees for six years.
