Arvinder Sahney Joins Petronet LNG Board; Independent Directors Mitla And Bhutoria Reappointed
Arvinder Singh Sahney, Chairman, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), has been appointed as Additional Director (Nominee Director, IOCL) of Petronet LNG Limited.
Sanjeev Mitla and Sundeep Bhutoria have been reappointed as Independent Directors of the Company for a second term w.e.f. 9th February 2025, subject to the approval of the shareholders.
Sahney has more than 30 years of experience in the petrochemical and refinery industries. He has been instrumental in commissioning the Paradip Refinery and streamlining operations at IndianOil refineries. Sahney is the Director of IndOil Montney Ltd. and the Chairman of Terra Clean Ltd. He also led initiatives, including the Paradip Petrochemical Complex, as the head of IndianOil’s Petrochemical Sector, which fuelled the business’s expansion in the industry. Sahney is a chemical engineer from Harcourt Butler Technical University, formerly Harcourt Butler Technological Institute (HBTI), Kanpur.
Mitla is a Chartered Accountant and has more than 36 years of experience. He is the Managing Partner of Sharma Goel & Co. LLP and the creator of SGC Services Pvt. Ltd., a payroll services provider. Mitla’s areas of expertise include GST, cross-border tax structuring, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and external and internal audits. He has provided advice to Fortune 500 firms, making a substantial contribution to financial operations and decision-making in a variety of industries. Mitla holds a B.Com. (Hons.) degree from Hindu College, Delhi University.
Bhutoria is a social activist and supporter of Indian arts with more than 20 years of experience in cultural preservation and universal literacy programs. He is connected to organisations like Education For All Trust and the Prabha Khaitan Foundation. He has been nominated for numerous cultural and social welfare organisations and is a member of several government advisory panels, such as the Ministry of Culture and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). As a published author, Bhutoria has received accolades for his work from all around the world, including one from the House of Lords in London.
