Tata Steel Welcomes Pramod Agrawal As Non-Executive Independent Director

The Board of Tata Steel Limited unanimously approved the appointment of Pramod Agrawal as an Additional Director (Non-Executive Independent Director) and as an Independent Director of the Company with effect from November 6, 2024.

Further, the Board has appointed Agrawal as Chairperson and Member of the Stakeholders’ Relationship Committee and Member of the Audit Committee and the Safety Health & Environment Committee, effective December 11, 2024.

Pramod Agrawal has about three decades of administrative experience as an IAS Officer in varied fields at the state as well as the central level. He is the former Chairman and Managing Director (‘CMD’) of Coal India Limited. He has served as Joint Secretary in the Department of Disinvestment, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. Agarwal has worked as Principal Secretary in the Government of Madhya Pradesh in different departments directly linked with public welfare. He is presently the Chairman and Public Interest Director on the Board of Directors of BSE Limited.
