Former IAS Arvind Varma Retires From Bharat Seats Board

Arvind Varma has completed his tenure as an Independent Director and consequently ceases to be Director of Bharat Seats Limited with effect from October 20, 2024.

Arvind Varma is a former official of the Indian Administrative Service and is now affiliated with the Indian Beverage Association. He retired as Secretary of the government of India after holding positions as Joint Secretary, Special Secretary, and Secretary in the Ministries and Departments of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Home Affairs, Coal, and Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances. During his time in the Uttar Pradesh government, he served as Secretary/Principal Secretary in some departments, including Vigilance, Institutional Finance, and Irrigation & Power. He also served as Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam and the Uttar Pradesh State Textile Corporation, as well as District Magistrate and Divisional Commissioner.
