A 25-year Amazon veteran, Samir Kumar, will now take over as the Country Manager for Amazon India, replacing Manish Tiwary, who is set to resign to pursue an opportunity outside the Amazon, and it will take effect from October 1.

The current leadership team at Amazon.in, which includes Saurabh Srivastava (Categories), Harsh Goyal (Everyday Essentials), Amit Nanda (Marketplace), and Aastha Jain (Growth Initiatives), now will report directly to Samir.

Samir Kumar will continue to manage Amazon’s consumer operations in the Middle East, South Africa, and Turkey. He joined Amazon in 1999 and was instrumental in planning and launching Amazon.in in 2013.
