Kishori Udeshi Retired As Independent Director of Thomas Cook (India)

Kishori Udeshi has completed her second term of five years as an Independent Director of Thomas Cook (India) Limited and accordingly ceased to be the Director on September 15, 2024.

Kishori Udeshi made history as the first woman to be appointed as Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). She served on the Boards of various financial institutions, including the State Bank of India, SEBI, NABARD, and Exim Bank. As Deputy Governor, she was responsible for regulating and supervising the banking and non-banking sectors and represented the RBI on international platforms such as the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. Post-retirement, she continued to serve on the boards of several prominent companies, including Haldyn Glass, ION Exchange, Cartrade Tech, and Kalyan Jewellers. She holds an M.A. degree from Bombay University.
