United Spirits Appoints Amrita Gangotra as Independent Director

The Board of Directors of United Spirits Limited has approved the appointment of Amrita Gangotra as a Non-Executive Independent Director with effect from September 1, 2024. Subject to shareholders’ approval.

Amrita Gangotra is a commercially focused and award-winning technology leader with experience gained in India, the UK, and Europe in using technology to drive business performance and deliver value in the telecommunications, IT services, and FMCG sectors. Gangotra embarked on an entrepreneurial career journey in 2019 as the founder and MD of ITyukt Digital Solutions. She has also served at Vodafone UK as Head of Enterprise Technology and Vodafone Hungary as Director of Technology. Prior to that, she worked with Airtel in multiple senior roles, wherein she led technology and innovation. She was also the CIO and GM-ITSM at HCL Comnet and Senior Project Manager at Nestle. She started her career as a research officer at Allen Bradley and a Sr. System Manager at HCL. She has been a member of the executive management team at Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Hungary. She is also an independent Board member of multiple listed and unlisted companies like Max Healthcare, Tanla Platforms, Triveni Turbine, India1 Payment, and Sterlite Technologies.
