Naresh Trehan Appointed as Non-Executive Director at Varun Beverages

Naresh Trehan has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Varun Beverages Limited for a period of five years, with effect from April 21, 2024, subject to the approval of shareholders. The company also announced the reappointments of Varun Jaipuria, Raj Gandhi, and Rajinder Jeet Singh Bagga as a Whole-time Directors of the company for a period of five years with effect from November 1, 2024, subject to the approval of shareholders.

Naresh Trehan has around 50 years of vast experience, holds a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Lucknow, and has been certified as a renowned cardiothoracic surgeon by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He trained and practiced at the New York University Medical Centre in Manhattan, USA, from July 1, 1971, to June 30, 1975, and is an honorary fellow at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He has received many prestigious awards, including the Padma Bhushan Award, presented by the Government of India.
