Independent Director Mandeep Maitra Resigns From Suryoday Small Finance Bank
Navi Mumbai headquartered, Suryoday Small Finance Bank, has informed that Dr. Mandeep Maitra, an Independent Director has resigned from the Board. Her resignation was received by the bank on November 29, 2023, and will be effective on January 31, 2024. In her resignation letter, Dr. Maitra has cited her other work assignments and her intent to prioritise her family’s well-being as the reasons behind her decision to quit.
Dr. Maitra chairs the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the Board and is a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Customer Service Committee, the Stakeholder Relationship Committee, and the Special Committee of the Board for Monitoring and Follow-Up of Cases of Fraud and Review of Wilful Defaulters (SCBF & RWD).
She continues to serve on the board of Hinduja Leyland Finance Limited as an Independent Director, at GRO Digital Platforms Limited as an Independent Director and at Expressions Learning Resources Private Limited as a Non-Executive Director.
Dr. Mandeep Maitra is an award-winning global HR leader and leadership and transformation coach. Her work experience of three decades spans Paris, London, Singapore and Mumbai. Mandeep has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from Lady Sri Ram College, University of Delhi; a Master of Arts in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai; HR Strategy in Transforming Organisations from London Business School; and has also carried out various executive coaching and certification programmes. Mandeep has been credited with being the HR architect of HDFC Bank. During her tenure, Mandeep took the bank from less than 1500 people to over 80000 in the bank and its affiliate companies.
