R Rajagopalan Ceased to be Non-Executive Independent Director of Raj Television Network

R Rajagopalan, Non-executive Independent Director of our Company has retired from his position with effect from the closing hours of 28th September, 2023 following the expiration of the tenure of his two consecutive terms. He served as the Chairman of the Corporate Nomination and Remuneration Committee of the Board and was a member of the Audit Committee.

R Rajagopalan, a retired Director General of Police from Tamil Nadu, started his career in the Indian Army in October 1963. In 1968, he joined the Indian Police Service and had a long and successful career in the police department, for over 3 decades.

During his career, he held important positions such as Deputy Inspector General at the CBI from 1983 to 1988, Commissioner of Police from 1991 to 1995, and Director General of the National Security Guard from 2001 to 2002. He received several awards, including the President’s Police Medal in 1992 and the Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service in 1983. He also holds a Masters in Business Administration and a degree in Law.
