Buvanesh Tharashankar appointed as the new Head of Finance at RBL Bank

Buvanesh Tharashankar has been appointed as Head of Finance at the Private sector lender RBL Bank.

RBL bank has also mentioned that he might be designated as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and key managerial personnel of the bank in the upcoming board meeting.

Tharashankar is an experienced Chartered Accountant with more than 28 years in banking. He has spent 20 years and more in leadership positions.

Most recently, he worked as the CFO at Jana Small Finance Bank, where he managed finance functions as well as investor relations.

Before Jana, he was with Citi for over 26 years, in various leadership and senior positions. His last assignment with Citi was Cluster Controller for South Asia, covering India, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka, driving statutory audits and regulatory inspections, Local regulatory reporting, Legal entity management, Annual ICAAP exercise, and Balance sheet controls.
