Biji George Koshy the Independent Director of Prestige Estates Resigns

Prestige Estates Projects Limited announced the resignation of Independent Director Biji George Koshy on 20th July 2023. He has been on the company’s Board since November 10, 2009. Biji George Koshy has held management and advisory positions with healthcare organisations, NGOs, minority groups, and the police force for about 20 years.

He sits on numerous boards. In his early days, Koshy worked as a research assistant for Dr. George L. Bird at Syracuse University in New York. He also had a stint with Advani-Oerlikon Ltd. as a senior executive. For fifteen years, he worked for the parent companies Oerlikon Buehrle AG and Contraves AG in Zürich, reporting to their Swiss boards.

After receiving his Master’s in English from Mumbai University, he performed a significant amount of community work as well. He has edited a number of prestigious publications in Mumbai. He has served three terms on the Board of Film Censors. He is the executive trustee of The Rainbow Forum, an NGO that promotes harmony, and he also works towards protecting the rights of women and children. In Mumbai, he also held the position of a Special Executive Magistrate.
